This is the second hand hoe of this type that I have owned. The first came from the now defunked Smith and Hawkins years ago; it is still working just fine. However, I wanted to find another one like it in case of a catastrophic failure at some time! I was overjoyed to get this hoe as it is even more rugged than my original. These hoes are absolutely indispensible in my rooty, rocky Maine garden. This the tool for any gardener who enjoys getting down on her (his) knees and cultivating by hand! Remember to order "right-hand" or "left-hand" when you order; it does make a difference! You won't believe just how well this works!

I had a similar, beloved, hand weeder originally from Smith & Hawkin. Used it for 20 years, then it got blown away in a tornado. Thank goodness a similar one is still being made! This is THE tool for quick, efficient weeding, especially in tough soil. I could not be without this in the garden. Very strong, and well made. My all-time favorite garden tool.
